Ignition is the first serial of the first season of Nathaniel J. Nelson's serial Seventh Circle. Ignition consists of five episodes (the first being twice the usual length), and follows Vinny Howell as he breaks away from his nameless conspiracy theorist group in the hopes of starting a real paranormal research organization.
Backstory[]
Ignition is set in January 2017, over a year after the headquarters of the Seventh Circle Institute for Paranormal Research burned down and the organization was disbanded. This fire, occurring in October 2015, was depicted in the novel Erogrendel, in which it is revealed that Seventh Circle's employees were subsequently imprisoned by the shadow government. To the general public, Seventh Circle was an unremarkable nonprofit organization that presumably went under after losing their building, but conspiracy theorists such as Vinny Howell and the users of paraGhost wonder if arson or supernatural forces were involved.

Conspiracy theorist and bartender Vinny Howell recruits dubious Sasha Belanger and her taciturn boyfriend Greg Lopez to restart The Seventh Circle Institute for Paranormal Research: a defunct nonprofit that squandered its potential.
