Intro[]

When last we left our heroes, they were barreling towards Ticonderoga, New York – a desolate town dominated by the historical Fort Ticonderoga – on their way to make contact with the mysterious Allegro: the shadowy figure behind the theory-sharing website paraGhost. Allegro himself waits with bated breath for his new associates to arrive, hoping against hope that they can fulfill his dreams of resurrecting the now-defunct organization known as SEVENTH CIRCLE…

Plot[]

On the road to Ticonderoga, Sasha teaches Greg about the mythos of horror movies, and Vinny becomes increasingly antsy as Allegro continues failing to reply to his emails. The three rent a room at the Ticonderoga Best Western, where they eat and discuss their situation, reaffirming that they will continue with the team whether or not Allegro has backed out. They discuss a possibly-supernatural serial killer named El Fantasma, and Greg mentions Mackenzie Weaver, surprising Sasha.

Allegro finally replies, telling Vinny to meet him the next morning at Fort Ticonderoga. Greg protested Sasha's involvement, but she talks him down. After Vinny and Greg fall asleep, Sasha goes outside to smoke a cigarette she stole from Vinny. She meets a trucker, also smoking, and tells him about her mission here, to her own surprise. He doesn't dismiss her, instead claiming that the supernatural is real and that he's seen his fair share of it.

The next morning, Greg drives Vinny and Sasha to Fort Ticonderoga. As soon as they leave, an unknown man jumps in Greg's truck and commands him to drive, apparently holding a gun on him.

Vinny and Sasha wander around the fort for an hour before attending a lecture. Allegro, wearing a hood and a cloth mask, approaches Vinny and tells him to follow him out of the room. Sasha tries to follow them, but Vinny silently commands her to stay. Walking around the fort, Allegro confirms that he chose Fort Ti because of pictures he found on Vinny's Facebook page. Allegro mentions Seventh Circle, asking Vinny what he knows about the defunct organization. Vinny accepts Allegro's offer of joining a paranormal investigation team, and Allegro cautions him against putting form over function like Seventh Circle did. He orders Vinny to investigate a nearby haunted house with Sasha, but not to bring Greg, who Allegro can tell isn't dedicated. Allegro tells Vinny that between he and Sasha, Vinny is the natural leader of the team.

That evening, Vinny, Sasha, and Greg stop to get Chinese food and prepare for their night of investigation. Meanwhile, Ticonderoga local Jake Dean drives by the haunted house with his girlfriend, telling her the legend: the previous owner killed her ten-year-old son and herself, while her husband went crazy and apparently molested children.
